Vivek Goel

Dr. Vivek Goel is a Professor in Public Health and Health Policy Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. He is the Founding President and CEO of the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion. A Scientist at the Institute of Clinical and Evaluative Sciences, he earned an international reputation in the evaluation of the utilization and outcomes of medical services. By applying large administrative databases and novel statistical methods he has identified variations in access to treatment for many conditions including cancer. Professor Goel served as Provost at the University of Toronto and is known for visionary leadership and innovative policy development.
