Pamela Ratner, University of British Columbia
Pamela Ratner is Professor of Nursing at the University of British Columbia and is recognized internationally for her research in the field of health behaviour and workplace health. Her scholarship in this area has focused on tobacco use, cardiovascular risk perception and reduction, and treatment seeking for acute coronary syndromes.
She has been particularly interested in using latent variable modeling as a means of evaluating the strength of inferences that can be made from various psychosocial assessment tools that are used in research and practice and as a means of testing health behaviour theory. Her multidisciplinary research unit supports trainees at all levels in developing collaborative health behaviour research approaches.
