Nancy Mayo is the James McGill Professor in the Department of Medicine and the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University. She is one of Canada’s best known researchers in stroke rehabilitation. She and her colleagues as well as her many graduate students have conducted studies about the epidemiology and course of stroke, the results of interventions and how to measure clinical outcomes. Recently, she has expanded her research to include other populations with chronic diseases, specifically elderly individuals undergoing surgery and people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
