HEATHER K. SPENCE-LASCHINGER

Dr. Laschinger’s most significant contribution has been in workplace environments focusing on nurses and their burnout. Her work furthered the initial model proposed by Kanter expanding it with the addition of a tested psychological dimension. It is rare to read any academic papers related to health care workplace environments without seeing Dr. Laschinger’s work cited. She is widely sought after, nationally and internationally for her research expertise. Her contributions were acknowledged by the University of Western Ontario community who named her a Distinguished University Professor, a title only provided to a select group of the best scholars in this large institution.
