George Klein is Professor of Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. He contributed to our understanding and management of cardiac arrhythmias such as WPW syndrome and our understanding of clinical syncope. He invented the implantable loop recorder, is Deputy Editor of the Journal of Cardiac Electrophysiology, Associate Editor of Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology and is on the Editorial Board of seven scientific journals. He served on the American Board of Internal Medicine Test Committee for cardiac electrophysiology from 1996-2005 and was chair from 2000-2005. Over his career, he has supervised 65 Research Fellows; published five books, 87 book chapters and 437 papers; and holds 12 US patents.
