FINLAY MCALISTER

Finlay McAlister is a Professor of Medicine in General Internal Medicine at the University of Alberta. He is currently President of the Canadian Society of Internal Medicine; Assistant Director of Epidemiology Coordinating and Research Centre; Chair, Outcomes Research Task Force for the Canadian Hypertension Education Program; a member of several Editorial Boards and is active in many other organizations including the Canadian Cochrane Network Advisory Board. He has won numerous awards including the Merck Frosst/ Aventis Chair in Patient Health Management, the Canadian Society of Internal Medicine Young Investigator Award, and the Royal College Gold Medal in Research for Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada.
