Dale McMurchy, Consultant
Dale McMurchy is an independent health care consultant with over fifteen years experience in international, academic and governmental organizations and expertise in health system and policy research, health financing and economics, policy and planning with an emphasis on public health and primary health care.
Her recent experience includes: the evaluation of the Family Health Teams in Ontario; the evaluation of the pilot Primary Care Reform initiative in Ontario; the evaluation of Health Canada’s Citizen Engagement Initiative; and management of the HealthInsider, a semi-annual national consumer health survey of 2,500 Canadians.
In 2002, Dale McMurchy was seconded to the Commission of the Future of Health Care in Canada, and researched and synthesized submissions on primary health care reform and accountability in the health care system for the final report.
Dale currently acts as a senior consultant to the Scientific Director of CIHR’s Institute of Health Services and Policy Research (IHSPR.) She was an executive on the Board of the Canadian Health Economics Research Association and then the Canadian Association for Health Services and Policy Research (CAHSPR). She holds a Masters of Arts from the Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
