ALISON BUCHAN

Alison Buchan is Professor of Cellular and Physiological Sciences and Senior Associate Dean, Research in the UBC Faculty of Medicine. She has made many significant contributions to the field of human cell biology, in particular to the determination of the structure and function of endocrine cells and neurons, and has been instrumental in the promotion of health sciences research through her service to the research community at large. She has fostered the growth of the Faculty of Medicine research enterprise, and through her interest in promoting interdisciplinarity, has strengthened the connections between researchers through research network development initiatives.
